The fourth quarter of 2021 saw interesting trends among the top 5 food and drink apps on the Android platform in Austria. Here's a closer look at their performance:

Too Good To Go: End Food Waste experienced a dynamic quarter in terms of weekly downloads and active users. Weekly downloads peaked early in the quarter at around 12K in the week of October 4, followed by a general decline, reaching approximately 3K to 5K in December. Weekly active users showed a similar trend, starting at 46K and peaking at over 50K mid-October, before declining to around 37K by the end of December.

foodora: Food & Groceries had a steady performance throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads fluctuated between 2.5K and 5K, with a notable increase in the last week of December. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, starting at 41K and ending the quarter at approximately 43K.

Lieferando -Order Food also showed consistent activity. Weekly downloads were mostly stable, hovering between 2.5K and 3.5K, with a slight increase at the end of November. Weekly active users were steady, maintaining around 31K to 32K throughout the quarter.

McDonald's saw fluctuating weekly downloads, peaking at around 4.5K in the week of October 4 and remaining between 1.5K and 3.6K for the rest of the quarter. Weekly active users exhibited a significant rise, starting at 104K and reaching a peak of 148K in mid-December, before declining to 86K by the end of the quarter.
